Today was our turn to take the State Direct Writing Assessment. We were given a prompt and an hour to write about that prompt. As we were getting ready to log into the testing site, we were surprised by our 1st grade partners. They entered into the lab and gave us a cheer to encourage us to do our best on this test. They told us to be "smarties" and gave us a package of smarties to help us to do our best! We think it worked!
They told us to:
Squash that test.
Kick that test.
Chop that test.
Stomp that test.
Be a Smartie!
