Lost City: The Discovery of Machu Picchu


This week we are reading “Lost City: The Discovery of Machu Picchu” by Ted Lewin.  We will focus on the following vocabulary words in this story.  It would be helpful if you will reinforce the meaning of these words at home with your child.

a very hard gray or pink rock that is formed when lava cools slowly underground
