Wow, all this:   Starburst candies in a reusable bank, mug with hot chocoate, a peppermint candy and mini marshmallows, 2 pair of the softest socks with some cucumber melon lotion, ribbon candy anti-bacterial hand soap and  a mini plate display: God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

 This mug filled with hot chocoate and peppermint candies was given to me by one of my sweet Primary students!

 This was from my co-fourth grade teacher: Vanilla Sugar shower gel and hand soap and a yummy toffee chocolate orange!

Look at all this:  M & M's, an apple shaped chocolate, Merry "Kissmas' with a bag of kisses and May your days be merry and "sprite," a cool teacher keychain, and a fun container with body butter, oranges and chocolate pieces.

 I have never seen one of the cool holders that the sweet pea one is in!  So cute!!!!!

Game Day

For our classroom activity, the students brought games from home to share with one another.  

We loved it and had so much fun!

Music Holiday Assembly

Three of our classmates shared their narrative writings from their journals.

 We are playing Christmas songs on the recorder.  

We sounded good!

Anti Bullying

Today we had an assembly given by Ronald McDonald!  The students thought that he was hilarious.  

He did have a very important message for us though.  

We need to have cooperation with others.

We need to be friends.

We need to stop bullying!

Biography Report Update

Almost all of the students handed me their rough drafts on Friday.  I am sending home a copy of that draft with the students Monday.  Class, share your first draft with your parents.  Ask them to help you to only include important information in this short poem. Have them help you understand the information that each of you have been reading and writing about.

The final drafts are due by Friday, December 16^th.  We will NOT be taking any more time in class for this. The final copy needs to be done in BEST handwriting and as error free as possible.

All of the other (The paperwork, poster and AR test) deadlines are in January. Our completion will be a celebration to show what we have learned.  We will put on a wax museum on January 10^th.

Eye of the Storm

This week we are reading “Eye of the Storm” by Stephen Kramer. This book tells of severe weather photographer Warren Faidley as he races to intercept likely tornado and lightning producers.   These are the vocabulary words that we will focus on from this story.  It would be helpful if you will reinforce the meaning of these words at home with your child.
